The First LNG Shipments From Canada To China
Dec 29, 2017

In early December, the first LNG shipments from Canada to China were successfully delivered. It is understood that the batch of liquefied natural gas exported to China by the Fortis BC company in British Columbia, Canada, provided liquefaction equipment. CIMC Enric provided logistics solutions and loading tools to China through Hong Kong stock company listed in CIMC as container and container logistics modeled on land and sea transport. Enric will be Canada's first long-term export business to export liquefied natural gas to the Chinese market.

Canada is rich in natural resources, especially oil, gas, minerals and metals. In June 2017, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources Jim Carr made clear in an interview with Chinese media that Canada is very much interested in becoming an international LNG exporter. He also hopes that Canada's liquefied natural gas can be exported to China as soon as possible. Now, this expectation has become a reality.

With the gradual expansion of the LNG trading market, the LNG tank-container multi-modal transport has drawn more and more attention from the global LNG trading market due to its flexibility in maneuverability, less investment in fixed assets and higher safety and efficiency . The relevant person in charge of CIMC said that the implementation of this project has opened a new chapter in the energy business of China and Canada and further extends the standardization and innovative logistics mode of bringing LNG tank containers from the United States to Canada. LNG logistics in Canada and around the world has a profound impact on innovation.
